A Personal God
Michael A. Verdicchio

Our God is a very personal God.

Psalm 37:4:
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
As we delight in God He has promised to give us the desires of our heart. That means He will give you the desires of your heart and will He give me the desires of my heart. Those desires may be very different, but our God is a very personal God Who is concerned about your life and my life.

When God asked Moses to go and deliver the Children of Israel out of the bondage of Egypt, one of Moses' concerns was God's name.
Exodus 3:13 and 14:
And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Isn't that fantastic? God said to tell them that, "I Am" sent you. That means, whatever you need, I Am. If you need deliverance, I Am Deliverance. If you need healing, I Am Healing. If you need prosperity, I AM Prosperity. If you need comfort, I Am Comfort. If you need peace, I Am Peace. Whatever you need, that is Who I Am!
Jeremiah 32:27:
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Numbers 11:23a:
And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD'S hand waxed short?

Isaiah 59:1
Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
God is concerned with every aspect of your life. He is a personal God that is willing and well able to take care of everything in your life. He is concerned about your desires, your dreams, and your goals.
Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Your need may be different than my need. But our loving God is a very personal God and He is the Supplier. And, He has encouraged us is so many places in the Scriptures to go to Him and ask for His help. As you go to God and ask for help, remember that He is willing and able. "I Am!" Go to Him and ask Him for whatever you need. He has promised that He would supply it.
Psalm 37:4:
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
